Every year, for the past 7 years, my church has hosted the annual Egg Drop for the Cartersville, Bartow County area. This past Saturday, April 19, 2014, CrossPoint City Church Volunteers showed up at 7 am to begin setting up Dellinger Park for all the families that were attending the event. The Easter Bunny flew to the park in a helicopter and made five different drops of hollow plastic eggs. We had fields set up for special needs kids, for ages 2-4, 5-7, 8-9 and 1-12. We also had a family fun area with inflatables, face painting, egg tosses, football tosses, trivia and gifts that were given away throughout the day. The event was totally free for children and families. The children got to collect all the eggs and then trade them in for their candy.
I had the honor of serving at this event and it was so much fun. I got to greet all the children and families as 
they came into the park and direct them to either the registration table or the pre-registration table. It was just so much fun to get to provide an awesome, free, family fun day for the people of Cartersville and Bartow County. I’m not 100% sure of the numbers, but I think that we had close to a thousand kids and their families walk through the gates. The joy and the excitement on those kids faces were absolutely priceless. *I finally got the numbers in. We had over a thousand kids come and participate in Egg Drop, which means that we had the honor of serving 2,500 to 3,000 people that day! It was so much fun and such a blessing to my heart! You really should come join us next year!
